Religion: Study Ch. 2 Packet. Test will be Friday.

Spelling: Homework is in the purple folder. The first page has a "clipboard" with directions and a check off box. Do Monday and Tuesday first, since we had a holiday. Send the packet back on Friday to be grade. The test for these words will also be on Friday.

Reading: Most of the class has their new reading bags. Tomorrow, Wednesday, everyone should be bringing home a green reading bag with a blue folder. Practice the high-frequency words. Make flashcards for the highlighted words and any others you feel your child needs to practice. Read the directions for the reading log, and read a book at least 3 times before initialing the log. The books in the folder will be due Monday, September 13.

Math: Your child may or may not bring home a worksheet for math. If not, please play a game using the following concepts:

Money Monday; Time Tuesday (Clocks and/or Minute Math); Word-Problem Wednesday; Thinking Thursday (Any math you feel your child needs for extra help); Fraction Friday

Minute Math is addition and subtraction facts. Set the timer for a minute and see how many flashcards your child can get through before the timer beeps.
