About Us

Who We Are
St. Augustine Catholic School is nestled in the pine trees of the Meadowcreek subdivision located in Southeast Houston. Founded in 1956 by St. Augustine Catholic Church, our school provides an ideal environment for academic achievement. St. Augustine Catholic School is fully accredited through the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department by the Texas Education Agency.
St. Augustine Catholic School offers Pre-School (full day academic program), Lower Division (Kindergarten through 4th Grade), and High School Preparatory classes (5th through 8th Grade). The Pre-School is Montessori based.
National exams are administered annually to all students in K through 8th grade in order to access individual and school-wide performance. Our graduates have a strong history of acceptance to competitive high schools and colleges.

Our school hours are:

7:50 AM - 3:14 PM Monday - Friday
An extended day program is available between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Our Philosophy
St. Augustine Catholic School believes that every child is a person created in God's image and endowed with unique gifts and potential. Together with the family and community, St. Augustine Catholic School seeks to develop in every student the foundation of educational skills, responsible citizenship, and Christian life. We accomplish this through excellence in academics, instilling of Christian and Catholic values, and by providing service opportunities and through liturgical life.

Faculty And Curriculum
St. Augustine Catholic School has a low student-teacher ration which facilitates a more personal learning environment. The faculty and staff support our students in all aspects of campus life.

The Core Curriculum is comprised of Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Religion, and Physical Education.

Additional classes include Faith Formation, Spanish, Computer, Art, Journalism, and Music.

The Athletic Program includes Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Softball.
